CHROMAKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPIA

This close

So, I decided to catch Tyler on tour this year. More specifically the CHROMAKOPIA World tour! I love tyler (No homo?). He is my favorite artist of all time and IGOR is my favorite album of all time

How I got here

I was originally going to see tyler all the way back in 2022 during the CMIYGL tour. I spent like $400 or something for 2 average tickets in Chicago. Now, I am a loner and I like traveling alone but for some reason i bought 2 tickets why is that?

I was originally planning on bringing someone along but that idea fell through quickly, Luckily I got a refund because in 2022 Covid was still somewhat relevant and they kept switching back and forth with the mask mandates and vaccine requirements. I suppose there was some vaccine requirement that was imposed and because of that I had tbe ability fo request a refund which I did.

FF to 2023 and I attended Camp FLOG that year and saw tyler live for the 1st time. And it was fun! Now, I was supposed to see tyler on Lolla 2024 but for some reason he cancelled and was replaced by… gosh I don’t remember it was that girl that made the WAP song

In late October 2024, Tyler released CHROMAKOPIA, a Fantastic album. His best work since IGOR. Naturally, he also announced a Tour thus giving me the opportunity to see him live again

I was originally planning to attend the Chicago concert which takes place in June 30th. Only 1 problem thought: I have Advance Camp… so with my ROTC duties and responsibility getting in the way of my enjoyment once more I had a second option.

There was a concert planned for Saturday February 8th at KC!!! It was the 3rd planned concert out of the whole tour.

This worked out perfectly! I can simply take the train to KC on friday, Stay over until the concert saturday night and then leave on sunday morning, arriving at campus in the afternoon

SO I bought the ticket, a VIP ticket. There was some AMEX presale and I didn’t want to miss out so I signed up and got myself the VIP3 package which guarantees a spot on the floor

The concert

This was the best concert I’ve been to in my life.

I arrived around 4:30 PM for VIP check in, I picked up some merch which I will show here along with a cool VIP merch set

about $110 for both shirts, ouch!

I queued for another hour or so waiting to get in the show floor. and then I went in. It was weird.. there are 2 Stages! one in the middle and the other at the end with a bunch of chromakopia themed containers.

So uh where is tyler performing? the answer is both stages

I stood for another hour or so and Paris Texas shows up on the middle stage. He performed for 30 minutes or so and then lil yachty came in for about 40 minutes or so. neat stuff.

Now for the important part:

I got incredibly lucky and was right up front the main stage. i could CLEARLY see tyler I’ve never been this close before. It was very mesmerizing Of course, I recorded a bunch of videos and will drop one here

Then some stairs came down, so tyler could walk above us to the middle stage, when “Sticky” was playing he just showered people with $2 bills. I was not gonna loose my spot so I just stayed put near the main stage.

he stayed in the middle for a bit and proceeded to perform some of his tracks from past albums. He had a little record player on the middle of stage and as the show progressed he “changed” Albums and performed songs from said album. Cherry Bomb was hype.

The stairs came down again and he want back to the main stage where he performed his closing act.

NEW MAGIC WAND. was euphoric… seeing him up close performing and the whole audience was in sync. I completely lost my mind for 3 minutes or so

he also performed “Ballon” in my opinion the weakest track of the album but for some reason it clicked with me and I actually really enjoyed it.

And finally the closer.. “I hope you find your way home”. It was perfect. and I tore up at the end

Cool little setup

I remember The moment I first listened to IGOR back in May of 2019. I was just wrapping up my Junior year and was quickly growing into the person I am today I instantly fell in love with the album on my 1st listen. Subsequent albums only added to my enjoyment and I am honestly thankful for everything Tyler has done and the albums he put out. They truly mean a lot to me and I hope he continues for many years to come. Thank you thank you….

Overall, well worth the $300 I payed, Once again.. Thank you Tyler. just like millions of other fans, You have also changed my life in some way :)

You are the light…

Yea

"What else do I put here?"
