Cardcaptor Sakura and Onimai

I often browse the /a/ board in that one website. I try not to browse too much because a lot of the times, people post retarded stuff. Recently, I have seen an uptick for Sakura and Onimai posts and for some reason both of these anime kind of stuck to my head It’s following me around or something like that and I am very curious about both of these shows based on what I’ve had seen.

So… Curiosity got the best of me and I actually watched 4 episodes of CC Sakura. I’m actually really enjoying it! It has that old SOUL 90’s aesthetic (Makes sense considering it was made in the late 90s) and Sakura is very cute. The premise is also very interesting. Here we have a 4th grader that accidentally unleashes hundreds of clow cards onto the universe

and now It’s her responsibility to capture all those cards and restore peace before the world ends or something like that. It’s definitely one of the better Magical Girl shows I’ve watched (Not that I watched that many). There are 2 seasons and I believe 2 movies and it’s based off manga which plays out a bit differently Looking forward to see if this show mogs Sailor Moon or not but I’ll definitely keep watching!

Honestly I don’t know anything about this anime. I just look at the pictures, fanart, etc… and I really like the aesthetic 👀 I think the main character is Mahiro or something like that. And I THINK (I’m probbaly very wrong) that the premise is basically a boy wakes up as a girl or gets turned into a girl and now he (she?) must live the rest of his(her?) life like that. If this is true then I am quite intrigued I would hate to wakeup as a girl but I want to know what happens if this is the case. Pretty much going in blind with this series. I will have to get the torrent and start watching it. And here is HOPING that I have enough time to watch this along with the many other seasonal shows for Winter 2025(I will post about this later) Not gonna lie… The doujins are very 👀. I actually have a physical doujin from this series I took a peek and oh boy… Apparently, gooning is not allowed. Something that I struggle with on a weekly basis heck, this might the cure I need.

What else

I’m not sure what else will suddenly permeate in my brain. I do have a lot of backlog shows and I should probably get working on those rather than consuming seasonal slop. I had an opportunity to work on my backlog Fall 2024. But that time has been wasted on … Nothing.

No, I have not gooned to any Sakura doujins but I would be lying If I said I wasn’t tempted. Lord, Please forgive me
